Support

What is it? How much your mattress compresses under the weight of your body.

How does it help? Proper support from your mattress can alleviate common sleep issues from stiffness to chronic back pain, as it distributes your weight evenly across the mattress and maintains proper joint and spine alignment. It’s important to find the right support level for your sleeping position. All mattress types are available in a variety of support levels. Firm support is good for back and stomach sleepers, while side and combination sleepers need soft to medium support.

Pressure Relief

What is it? How your mattress conforms around your sleep position to provide targeted relief

How does it help? Proper pressure relief can alleviate aches, tossing & turning, and improve circulation by reducing pressure points and confirming to your body. Pressure relief is important if you have sleep issues preventing you from sleeping comfortably through the night. All mattress types can provide pressure relief. Experiencing different beds in person is a great way to find out what works for you. We encourage potential buyers to come in and give them a try.

Cooling

What is it? How cool the mattress feels to the touch and its ability to provide a cool sleep environment throughout the night.

How does it help? With cooling technology, your mattress features components and materials that help provide a cool and comfortable night's sleep. Look for this feature if you tend to overheat during the night. Gel grid, cooling memory foam, and gel-infused memory foam mattresses are great for a cool night's rest.

Motion Separation

What is it? How a mattress prevents motion on one side of the bed from impacting a sleeping partner.

How does it help? The goal of motion separation is to isolate movement, helping to reduce what you feel (like your partner tossing and turning) and allowing you to move throughout your sleep cycles uninterrupted. Motion separation is great for partners with different sleeping schedules or styles. Foam mattresses provide excellent motion separation

What is it? How well a mattress provides support, pressure relief, and comfort features over the course of its life.

How does it help? The durability of a mattress is determined by the quality and construction of the components used such as foams and textiles. The use of high-quality components increases the likelihood that your mattress will maintain its comfort for years to come.
